What is a transactional email?

It may also be called a “triggered” email because they include any email that is triggered by a customer’s interaction with your store (think of a purchase receipt). In this case, these are Shopify’s Notification emails. 

Can I see what my template will look like before I export it to Shopify?

You can toggle the placeholder text by using the "Toggle Placeholder" feature in the top right of the template builder to get a more accurate preview of how it will look live, or you can see a mobile preview by using the buttons in the lower left corner of the template builder.

Another way to preview your template is to send yourself a test email from Shopify. 

How do discount codes work?

Unique one-time use discount codes are generated for each customer when they open an email, and they work automatically with Shopify and will be added to your admin for you. 

We use the customers first name and a random array of numbers and letters for each discount code so they are personalized :)

How do Recommended Products work?

Recommended Products are populated automatically and dynamically. We select two products to recommend from within the same collection as a customer's cart items. For a product to be considered, it must be in stock, and not already be a cart item.

How do I link social icons in my template?

You can add the URLs for your social icons in the Company Settings of your dashboard. You can also click the social component in the template builder and and click Edit in the Settings on the right to toggle on/off the icons you want to display. 

How is ROI calculated?

If a customer engages with an email, and then it leads to a purchase within 7 days, we attribute that to the ROI figure since Spently influenced the sale.
